TRENDING… UNDERSTATED MAKEUP
Selfies are putting a fresh, new face on beauty this season
– looking flawless, with minimal traces of makeup.
GET THE LOOK
From undetectable perfecting primers to glosses that turn up the volume, the look is unaffectedly authentic and eye-catchingly beautiful.
This look is based on natural but perfected skin, with well defined lined eyes supporting a soft, nude shadow (we like Eclipse Liquid Shadow). The line should be clean and applied with a felt tipped or gel liner – sporting a flick at the outer corners. But, what really defines the look is the spring bouquet lip colors (in Melon Crush or Dragon Fruit). Then gloss it up with a sheer, volumizing Plumping Gloss.
new! PLUMPING GLOSS
Soft, shiny, full lips are a hallmark of youth and never go out of style. Plumping Gloss fills, softens, smoothes and hydrates. Lips will love the sheer color, stunning shine, silky softness and cushiony fullness. It comes in six sheer spring shades.
Pout perfection at its best!
This modern yet almost undetectable look of the season sports a flawless complexion that defines and
illuminates your natural beauty.
It’s so easy to wear. Try it for the weekend, but you might love it so much you’ll make it your everyday look.
It’s based on Blurred Lines & Perfect Skin. Not sure how to get there? Here’s a step by step…
Choose your primer to fit your skin type. Tinted Primer SPF 20 is so sheer and natural it shows off a fresh finished glow that doesn’t look like makeup at all. Worn by itself or under foundation it blurs imperfections and eases dryness. Apply it like a moisturizer (with your hands) to achieve a perfectly polished canvas that’s sheer and natural.
Keep skin looking fresh and youthful by highlighting the cheek bones, down the center of your nose, over the cupid’s bow and a little on the chin & forehead. This makes sure the skin isn’t looking too flat, creating subtle contours. Our Mineral Illuminator offers perfectly sheer, easy going radiance.
Tap on Dual Action Concealer in Medium under (but not too close to) the eye to cover trouble spots and to diffuse dark circles. This is easily applied with a Medium Creme Brush. Use your fingers to press and melt the concealer into the skin for a natural coverage. Want more coverage? Check out our Mineral Photo Touch Concealer.
Smooth on foundation lightly, with a foundation brush, but apply only where you need it. Take small amounts off the back of your hand so you can better control the payoff. Our Demi-Matte Mineral Sheer Tint will mattify and even out oily skin while our Luminous Foundation instantly hydrates and softens lines.
To contour , apply the darker shade of our Contour Powder Duo under cheekbones, sides of nose and under the jawline using our new Sculpt Foundation Brush. Keep cheek color soft and subtle by choosing an Angled Blush Brush which blends perfectly over the apples of the cheeks.
You might find this surprising, but to get this look use no mascara. Keep it light by applying Peach Quartz Mineral Shadow all over the lid and into the crease with a Large Shadow Brush. Then place Bronzite Mineral Shadow to create a natural contour in the pocket of the eye using a small shadow brush. Bring that same color under the eye using a Smokey Eye Makeup Brush.
To keep brows soft but well defined choose a BrowBlender Pencil in Soft Taupe. This is all about creating shadow in the eyebrow. This is not solid, we don’t want the eyebrow to look unnatural. Apply short strokes in the direction of the hair and then brush them through with the other end.
To finish this look first we first outlined the lips with a super subtle layer of Waterproof Gel Liner in Ballet, remembering to keep the bow soft and natural. Then fill it in for long wearability. To achieve a silky soft moist lip choose Fairy Dust from our new collection of Plumping Gloss. Apply only to the bottom lip, then press lips together to carry it up to the top.
A smokey eye is always a favorite for a seductive grown up look. Keeping true to the theme of this season’s spring looks we keep the skin soft, sheer and natural. But.. for a little drama try wrapping a black matte shadow over the lid and under the lower lash line (I like using Gravity as the sheerer liquid version). Blend in Bronzite in the crease. Finish with Gel Eye liner in Noir on the upper and lower waterline. Mascara should be clean and full. Lips should be chosen from a nude palette.
